Film Artist’s Association of Nepal is nationalized level organization located a tGayaneshwor marg 30 Kathmandu Nepal district administrative office in 1992 A.D. it is umbrella organization, established to conserving and promoting professional right and welfare of film artists of the nation are united together for overall development of artists, hence by framing professional organization of film artists of the entire nation for per-forming professional function being under that organization and for determination of only one authorized professional organization by undergoing mutual discussion on the dated “Film Artists Association of Nepal 1992 A.D.
Objectives of the Film Artist’s Association of Nepal:
- To protect the professional rights and welfare of films artists working in fims industry, to development and promote film business, to development and support film business, to develop film industry and to promote relationship with the organizations affiliated with film industry.
- To present comment and task necessary action by explanation and analyzing of Act, law, rules, plan, programs and action etc. relating to the area of Nepalese film industry.
- To conserve, protect and develop of art and culture of the nation.
- To keep good and cooperation with other genre of film industry.
- To establish coordination and partnership with other association and organizations keeping attention for the development of Nepalese film industry.
- To operate services at the time of need for national welfare for fulfilling social responsibilities of artists.
- To organize and caused to organize meeting, Symposium, lecture, assembly, training, national and international film festival development of artists and participate and caused to participate therein.
- To organize national and international film festivals.
- To award prize to the artists to motivate them.
- To organize various social, educational and cultural programs to make weak, helpless, illiterate and poor people of the society capable socially, educationally and economically.
Membership Provision:
The Classification of the membership to be granted by the association is there as follows:-
Ordinary membership: – This membership shall be granted to the artists having done acting in four, Nepalese motion picture in minimum or making acting as a professional since 15 years now.
Temporary Membership: – This types of membership shall be granted to the person of company or institution those qualified to be member of the Association pursuant to section 2 of this statute registered as the company or organization producing Nepalese films having not censored. This types of membership shall have the entire right except to be candidate in election. If he/she fulfills entire procedure pursuant section 2 such members shall be granted to full membership.
Joint Membership: – The persons signing the statute at the time of registration of the Association shall be joint member.
Honorary Membership: – These types of membership can be granted to those making remarkable contribution in the field of film industry. Contributed uninterruptedly for the progress of the association and renowned national person in the field of artistes sector.
Life Long Membership: – These types of membership shall be granted to the artists having done acting in four, Nepalese motion pictures in minimum or making acting as a professional since fifteen years now.
To a vigorous Filmy qualities of motion picture and art industry of Nepal, concerning the selection of members and their criteria our association board has formed a nationally expert Selection committee as for below.

The nationally expert sets out the criteria to be eligible for Long Life Membership and considers the prospective life members strengths individually. The life membership recognizes the valuable and exceptional contribution of artist to the current and future success of the Nepali Films industry.
The nationally expert selection committee has recommended Mr……………. as a life member of this Association since he has met above all criteria set by five member- panel experts. He was granted an Honorary Life Membership by our Nepal Film Producers Association with review on his recommendation of a nationally distinguish five member panel expert membership review and selection committee in the concerning field, following final approved by the executive board, honoring him during the annual conference, July 14, 2010, central committee, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Long Life member status is kept to Films artist like Mr…………….. whose service in the Nepali Films performing arts field reflects clean enthusiasm to his expertise and who is a brilliant role model for other Filmy Actors. He has been contributing to expose, promote and protect Nepalese Filmy art and culture. In addition to, he has successfully performed as importance role of this Association.
